Fried Rice is one of the easiest thing to make at home, especially if you are lazy, or have leftovers to clean up. I throw all of my leftovers in fried rice mostly. It is easily customized to whatever protein or vegetables you want to include in your fried rice.
Me and Dydy went for nice lunch today like how we usually do every Sunday. We went to have Thai in Home Thai today, the soft shell crab is just so amazing. Look at my blog for more details about Home Thai and soft shell crab here. Since we eat out today, and Dydy stomach was bloating so badly, as usual, he kept saying he didn’t want to have dinner anymore, like usual again. The problem is that he will start to ask for food at 9pm in the night. At that time, I’m usually too lazy to cook already as I will be feeling too sleepy. It happens everytime we dine out, therefore, I always cook easy stuffs that can be easily heat up later on when Dydy hungry. I make fried rice today, with all leftover peas and mince I have.
It super easy to make fried rice, you can add any seasonings, any proteins or any vegetable you love. We eat fried rice quite often at home. For this fried rice, I only added simple soy sauce, black pepper, and chili powder to have that spicy kick. I also added few dashed of Chinese five spices to have more flavour.
I’m counting days now, 1 more weeks, my long holiday will start for 3 weeks. I will be travelling to New Zealand, Medan, Malaysia, and Singapore. When I think about it again, it might not actually be called holiday, as we will be busy meeting in-law and relatives during this 3 weeks time. But, it’s great that I get to meet his family and he also get to meet mine. Moreover, I don’t have to cook for 3 weeks, and still get to enjoy all traditional Indian Cuisine, and Chinese Cuisine from his parents and my parents. I just couldn’t wait for it.
I will surely post and share my holiday pictures will all of you guys together with the traditional food that I get to enjoy. Hopefully, with this holiday, I get to learn more about Indian culture and Dydy family. I’m amazed how their food and culture is quite different with mine. It’s overwhelming at first, but I started to like it now. I will update the post when I get to New Zealand again soon. Keep following this website if you are interested in knowing more about different culture.
